Hello everyone, my name is Adarsh and I am one of the paediatricians working at Ovum Hospital. Today we will be discussing about the visits of a newborn baby after getting discharged from the hospital. So the first month of life, we expect to see the child twice. In the first visit, we look at things such as jaundice and their feeding habits and subsequently we see the child once in a month. In these visits, the paediatrician concentrates upon the growth of the baby, the development of the baby, the nutrition of the baby and the vaccinations. When the parents bring the child to the doctor, the weight, height, and head circumference will be measured. The doctor will ask pertinent questions relating to these areas and accordingly will give advice as needed. Apart from this, the doctor can also impart health education relating to first aid, or any questions posed by the parents.
